Every food metal detector must undergo a comprehensive test before leaving the factory to ensure its normal function, stable and reliable work, and high detection sensitivity. And all these depend not only on the performance of the instrument itself, but also on the following installation factors to a large extent:

One is the location where the probe is installed. When installing, you must consider how to separate materials mixed with metal foreign matter. The food metal detector can be installed above the belt conveyor or above the vibrating conveyor. Different materials have different conveying methods and material characteristics, and their separation methods are also different. The separation methods of food metal detectors generally include shutdown separation, conveyor belt automatic reverse unloading separation, and flip door unloading separation. In the food production line, the flip door unloading separation method is often used. When the flip door action does not affect the normal operation of the probe, the probe and the flip door maintain a smaller distance. However, it should be noted that due to the material speed, there is a possibility that the flip door cannot be opened in time when the metal material reaches the flip door. Therefore, maintaining a constant material speed is very important for food metal detectors.

The second is the probe installation. The alternating magnetic field area of the food metal detector probe is determined during design and will be affected more or less by the external magnetic field. External factors such as charged objects, static electricity or other magnetic field influences will have a certain impact on the sensitivity and reliability of the food metal detector system. The grounding forms of transmission wheels, transmission chains, cover plates, etc. may also cause false alarms, false alarms, or reduced sensitivity. The vibration of the probe may also cause false alarms.
